Backwards Compatibility
This repack is NOT backwards compatible with my previous ACO repacks.
Italian hacking group CPY has been trying to crack Assassin’s Creed Origins privacy protections for a few months now and it has now announced that the Assassin’s Creed Origins crack has been achieved on PC. This means that pirated versions of the title will be able to bypass DRM protection. Assassin’s Creed Origins has proven to be a tough cookie to crack for pirates compared to other modern games that also use Denuvo.
This game has been difficult to crack because Ubisoft built several layers of protection to prevent this from happening. PC players have long complained that the excessive combination of Denuvo 4.8, VMProtect, and Ubisoft’s standard Uplay security were hogging their system resources unnecessarily.
Even though the Denuvo anti-piracy protection was difficult to crack, pirates found a way and now most new games are cracked in weeks and even days after they’re released. Assassin’s Creed Origins proved to be difficult because it had a newer version of Denuvo and other layers of protection as well.
Some publishers do remove Denuvo from their titles once they’ve been cracked but Ubisoft doesn’t normally do this so even though the Assassin’s Creed Origins crack has been achieved on PC, it’s unlikely that Ubisoft will remove the anti-piracy protections.
